The morning after - BUBBLES!

After an evening of grilled cheese, soup, Curious George, and popcorn, and falling out of bed (doh!) the girls finally managed to get some sleep. This morning, we woke up early and got to work playing right away. It's a beautiful day so we decided to go in the back to blow some bubbles.

Sleepover!

That's right folks! Another Friday, another sleepover! Here we are, about to watch some Curious George...

We're here for some shots today, and what you are seeing here is a pre-vaccinated Buster. Dunno how he's gonna feel afterward but at least we had this moment...

Weird bath product...

So there was something in Charli's Easter basket for her bath. It's Japanese so I can't read it, but it might say something like "make your baby's bath look like pee. Seriously. No bubbles, just yellow. Weird.

Collaborative effort...

Just thought I'd drop a quick update for those of you concerned about the health and wellbeing of Buster and Charli. And Binka. They are all fine and working together nicely, as seen here. Buster sleeps about 3 or 4 hours at a time now, and has taken to the bottle quite nicely.

Of course, in the time since I last posted, my employer has decided to discontinue the product that I have been working on for the last 4 years. This, I realize, is a pretty lame excuse not do a blog post, but hey - I was distracted!

It is alive...

In response to concerns that Quinn never wakes, I give you Disco Buster! Seen here just before 10pm on a Saturday night, it becomes evident what Buster is saving up his energy for!

Farmers Market the next day...

After our tumultuous evening of cooking and blackouts, we all piled in the car and went to the Farmers Market for some delicious seasonal samples, and as pictured here, some goodies prepared by our favorite pastry chef, John. Pictures of Bella and Charli sitting together all grown up seem to frequent this blog these days, and here is another. But this day is special. Not only is this the morning after the first sleepover, but Charli also picked out and put on the clothes she is wearing here, AND she slept without a diaper last night, AND didn't pee in bed! Big girl indeed!!

Buster, meanwhile, slept.

Blackout!

Wouldn't you know it? The very first night that we have a sleepover, we also have first ever blackout on Bernal. And not 2 weeks earlier, Nina had been telling us just how much Bella HATES blackouts. So at least we were prepared for her response, which was vocal and amounted to "I wanna go HOOOOOME!!!!". But we soon found ample distractions and were able to salvage the evening. Flashlights can be great fun, after all.

We finally got to sleep pretty late, but Bella stayed the night and seemed to have a good time going it. Hopefully she wasn't too traumatized by the blackout and will dare to spend the night here again!

For dinner at the first ever sleepover, the girls made their very own pizzas. We had some pepperoni, red peppers, black olives, cheese, and basil.

1st Sleepover!

Last night was the very first time that Charli ever hosted a sleepover. And who better to have spend the night than her very best friend, Bella! The following few posts will give you a blow by blow account of how the night went...
