rattlin' around

Well, things are pretty different now that I'm working again. Charli has been mowing through my stored up milk while I'm in south bay, and I can't really pump fast enough to keep up with her - it's stressing me out. In my efforts to keep from running out of milk in 2 weeks, I get up at all hours of the night to pump, which makes me way more tired than I was a week ago. I often fall asleep now at 9pm, and I might get up 3 times during the night to pump. It's much better on the days I work at home, when I can just feed her myself.

Charli is doing great though - she is sitting up better and feeling more sturdy all the time. She reaches for things, and she still loves her pears. Yesterday, she found her toes. They deserve some close inspection, but they don't seem to be very appetizing. At any rate, they haven't been in her mouth yet. Today, she figured out how to use a rattle. She is really quite proficient, although she is not at her best in this particular example:

Some days she is very vocal, and some days not so much. This would be a vocal day...

And this is how Charli felt to find that her Grandpa Lawler was in the hospital (where they don't serve any Jack). We hope you are better soon!

After seeing Charli's antics, I feel better already. I am about as good with my left hand as Charli is with her rattle. We can learn small motor skills together.

Thanks again for the blog entries. We enjoy them so much. The roll-over video was great!!

PS: I am staggering around the house now instead of the hospital... YEH HA!!

PSS: If you see two entries that look a lot alike, blame it on one handed typing. This kinda SUCKS!!!

thank you, thank you so much for the absolutely adorable videos!!I predict those will be played countless times today. Jerry and I are sitting on opposite sides of the family room, each with our computers watching Charli.
Jerry is happy to be home, but has to adjust to things getting done a lot slower for now. Simple things are a real challenge for the time being, but are confident that with therapy things will get backto normal for him. I hear you going to the baseball game today so bring back a winner-FOR THE CARDINALS!!!!! Talk to you soon- hugs to all, especially squeaky, wiggly Charli. Mambaw

Hooray! Glad to hear the Jerry is feeling better and is at home now, but not so good about the one-handed typing. What was the final verdict?

What cute videos. What a cute baby. She sounds like a pterodactyl (sp?)! And she's clearly going to be a fabulous dancer! It must be all that hip hop you were doing until half way into the pregnancy, Korin.

Korin and Brian, you'll be happy to know that I'm learning how to cook from Grandma, so I won't be totally useless once I get there! Oh, and Korin, the lecture that I went to on "What Isn't Art" was Terrible. The critic that was speaking (Doug Harvey) was great in small groups (he came to one of my classes), but really incredibly bad at the public lecture. And it seems he agrees with me that everything is art... Now you're going to have an even harder time convincing me otherwise!
