Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone! Sorry it's been so long since we posted (and glad to know you missed us). Things have been so swamped with all my family out and all of the eating we have to do. Of course, this means I have a lot of pictures accumulated...

We tried to let Charli help us decorate the tree. This involved some broken bulbs, but now we know better.

Charli opened up a gift on Christmas eve by special request. We think she likes it.

Charli on Christmas morning.

Charli's first real step! Also, a quality video from the day after Christmas!

Charli had fun opening a present on Christmas morning, but after that she kind of lost interest.

Once the toys are open, though, she likes them a lot!

Our favorite present.

Playing with Christmas gifts.

Here's the whole gang. Even though we managed to find beds for everyone, somehow there always seems to be someone sleeping on the couch... (and I do mean ALWAYS. At any given hour you could come in the door, and someone would be sleeping on the couch.)

Signing off - see you next year!

bThanks for the "Charli fix"! We were all having serious withdrawal out here in the midwest. Looks like Christmas was grand fun in SF. We had a great day as well--also with fun gifts and delicious food.
Last night we had our annual Christmas tree crawl/progressive dinner-talk about a feast on all fronts. Max and Madeleine started us out with a table spread with wonderful cheese/crackers, appetizers, wines--Kelly followed with a humongous Rich and Charlie's salad ( meaningful only if you live in St. Louis, I guess.) Jerry and I came next with entrees of Pasta con Broccoli and Salsiccia with peppers (both prepared by Rosie of Hilltop fame.) Jim ended the evening with a table laden with CHOCOLATE-both a Buche de Noel and a flourless chocolate cake- frest fruit and some other delicious goodies. After that we all waddled home wondering how we could have possibly eaten so much!
Today Frank and Judy are in town(lifelong friends and Kelly's godparents). So of course we are going out to lunch with them. No wonder we all declare ourselves to be on diets on January 1!!!
So Happy New Year to all. Keep in touch with all the news and pictures too of course. We will do the same. Hugs to all Mambaw
Thank you so much for all the pictures. I too think Charli-in-the-box is the best present, but I enjoyed seeing all the fun the whole family had.
I was going to say something about the long blog absence, but I didn't want to be accused of being a blog bully again. Especially after I had to lash out on the Christmas present.
So, I am a new man, very polite --- NOT!!!
Happy New Year to all the Yangs et al!!!
We will see you in a few weeks.
Yea... Charli rocks!
Charli's hair looks so tame in all of these pictures; it's totally misleading! Just so everyone knows, Charli looked like Cindy Lou Who from How The Grinch Stole Christmas 99% of the time - cowlicks everywhere! It makes her even more adorable.
and... Happy New Year to all the Lawlers! Donna and Jerry, I'll be seeing you soon out in SF... I'm going to be crashing your weekend party on the 18th when I come back!
Love the Pictures of Charli. Also enjoyed the picture of the family on Christmas tree day. Couldn't identify some but did identified most. What a wonderful family. Love and Happy New year to all. Sorry that I was one of nags, BUT. We're flying to Omaha, NE to see our Greatgrand son (2 yrs old) on the 15th, getting excited.
Love Uncle Jr and Aunt Nancy, in Florida
There was some cheating in the Christmas Tree Day picture - 4 people are friends, not actual members of the family. :)
Have great time in Nebraska. I bet 2 is an awesome age - we're looking forward to it, yet at the same time hoping it doesn't come too soon.
