It's been a while since we posted anything, but not too much has been going on. Charli is getting bigger and bigger - it seems like ever since I told the doctor I thought she was starving all the time, she has been much more satisfied in the evenings and I think she weighs more. This is probably all completely in my head, but what else is new? She is definitely getting bigger though: we have graduated to the next size of diapers, and we moved the harness on the car seat to the next bigger level. She is sitting up better in the stroller and in her little support chair thing, and she smiles a LOT. She doesn't laugh very much, but it's so cute whenever she does.
We've been looking for daycare for the two days a week that the nanny is not here, and it's going slowly but surely. I think we will definitely have someone by maybe next Wednesday, and I guess I will probably have to start working again the following Monday. *sigh* Our nanny starts on Tuesday, which should give me some time to get ready for all the big changes. I have already started to have separation anxiety at the thought of taking Charli somewhere, putting her down, and then driving away. *sob* I have much more sympathy for you now, Mom.
And there are unfortunately no pictures in this blog post, as I am writing it from my brand new laptop (an HP, just like everyone else's - I was just jealous, I guess!), and there are no pictures on here yet. I have to copy them over from my work laptop, which can no longer be used for personal things...

Good to hear from you even though there are no pictures. I hope everything works out OK with the day care and nanny. I wish you did not have to go back to work too, because you are so in to Charli and the first baby is so exciting. But we have to do what we have to do.
The good news is you can watch movies on your new laptop. That will help on your flights home to see family. Oh.... damn... now I am a travel bully.
Yeah, these HP laptops are great...Peter and I both have them as well...all the cool kids do!

Tomorrow is back to reality day for us...first day back after Spring Break. Argh! Is it summer yet???
Wow! Big events: Charli's up another notch and getting even more irresistable. How is that possible?--but I can imagine it if she smiles AND laughs at people. And: back to work. It sounds like another leap forward in the adventure.
Greetings from rainy thundery St. Louis!! It was good to hear from you yesterday--the past few days have been very quiet here, but the up side is that I did get caught up with a lot of things. Jerry just phoned a few minutes ago--he should be arriving about 8:30 or so. Hopefully the golfing week went well. Today is opening day for the Cards, and as Brian no doubt remembers that is like a holiday in St. Louis. Right now they are in rain delay--but they are winning thus far.
We do hope that you are successful with your day-care search. That no doubt is a difficult, but important, decision. But I am confident it will work out well.
Charli seems to be thriving still. It is all that good care and love and attention she gets from her mom and dad. Keep up the outstanding work.
