Unfortunately, the joy of this day vanished as Charli had a problem cleaning up after herself. After flat-out refusing to clean up a mess she had made, her Purple Babu got grounded and she went to bed without her favorite blanket and without a story. She had several chances to make things right, but refused to do so. How could it be that such a sweet child jumping barefoot in a fairy dress not 3 hours before could turn into such an obstinate little monster, staring down authority and refusing to comply with reasonable requests to clean up her mess?
Come to think of it, this is a trait that Korin continues to demonstrate to this day, so I blame her. But I will likely feel the consequences for sharing that opinion, dear reader. Pray for me.

She was clearly still in princesses mode awaiting her servants to come clean up after her! :)

Brian, Brian--your dad will no doubt feel compeled to offer advice about giving opinions on your wife's behavior. Prayers are certainly in order!!! Mom
Well, I have noticed a lot of Korin in Charli, but I never said that. What I noticed, though, was her being playful and teasing, and, especially, holding up for herself. Every now and then though, you can push it a little too far, then discipline is needed for Charli that is, not Korin.
Actually, Korin should like this story. She has always said that you can do so much more with Charil, and that Charli doesn't listen to her. I guess she can see now that once you quit giving in, Charli can show an equal lack of cooporation to all. It will pass. Just wait about 15 years.
